Cool Sensation. Intense Freshness. Finnish Sauna.
Imagine a moment when something unexpected enters the warmth of the sauna.
The heat remains just as it was. The familiar löyly surrounds you. Yet suddenly, a fresh sensation moves through the air – almost like a little breath of northern wind.
This is the idea behind KiuasICE™.
Made from 100% natural menthol crystals derived from mint oil, KiuasICE™ brings an intense, fresh mint aroma and a distinctive cooling sensation to the warmth of the Finnish sauna.
For a moment, two seemingly opposite sensations come together.
The warmth of the sauna. The freshness of the North.
A Cool Contrast to Sauna Heat
At KIUASSUOLA™, we believe that sauna should always remain a personal experience.
Some people enjoy the simplicity of traditional löyly, natural materials and an atmosphere without added fragrances.
Others occasionally want to introduce a new sensation.
Our original KIUASSUOLA™ Sauna Ritual Salts are deliberately fragrance-free.
KiuasICE™ offers another possibility.
Its powerful mint freshness comes naturally from menthol rather than added perfumes.
The product does not make the sauna physically colder. Instead, menthol creates a cooling sensation that contrasts with the warmth surrounding you.
During sauna use, this refreshing impression typically lasts around 5–10 minutes before gradually fading.
We wanted to offer something distinctive without making the sauna experience complicated.
Natural ingredients. A clear purpose. The freedom to choose your own sauna moment.
A Little Northern Wind in Every Crystal
KiuasICE™ contains 100% menthol crystals derived from natural mint oil, without additional ingredients.
The crystals have a naturally powerful mint aroma and melt at approximately 40°C / 104°F.
Their distinctive character comes from menthol itself – an ingredient known for producing a cooling sensation even when the surrounding environment remains warm.
A small amount is enough to create an intense aromatic experience.
The 20 g package offers many opportunities to enjoy a refreshing moment.
The menthol originates from Germany, and KiuasICE™ is packed in Finland.
A simple ingredient. A surprisingly powerful sensation.
Three Ways to Experience Menthol Freshness
KiuasICE™ brings the invigorating character of natural menthol into three different experiences.
1. In the Sauna – A Breath of Coolness in the Löyly
The contrast between sauna heat and menthol's cooling sensation creates a distinctive sensory experience.
As the crystal warms on the sauna stones, an intense mint aroma spreads through the air.
The familiar heat of the Finnish sauna suddenly feels different – fresh, invigorating and almost touched by a little northern breeze.
The sensation gradually fades, allowing you to return to your usual sauna atmosphere.
Start with half or one small crystal at a time, using a spoon for dosing. Place it on the sauna stones, not directly on electric heating elements.
KiuasICE™ can also be enjoyed alongside KIUASSUOLA™ Sauna Ritual Salts on a suitable KIUASSUOLA™ soapstone platform, following both products' instructions.
A moment of freshness in the middle of familiar löyly.
2. Aromatic Steam – The Freshness of Menthol
The unmistakable scent of menthol is familiar to many people from traditional aromatic steam moments.
Its strong mint aroma and cooling sensation create an invigorating contrast to warm steam.
For those who enjoy this kind of experience, KiuasICE™ offers the familiar freshness of natural menthol in crystal form.
It is another way to enjoy the distinctive sensory character of mint.
3. A Refreshing Foot Bath – A Different Kind of Coolness
After a long day, a warm foot bath can be a welcome opportunity to slow down.
Menthol introduces a surprisingly cool sensation to the warmth of the water.
The contrast can feel particularly refreshing when your feet are tired and you simply want a moment of rest.
A small addition to an everyday ritual can make the experience feel entirely different.
Freshness Whenever You Choose
The KIUASSUOLA™ collection is built around respect for Finnish sauna culture, natural materials and the freedom to enjoy sauna in your own way.
That means there is room for different experiences.
Our fragrance-free sauna ritual salts represent one side of our philosophy.
KiuasICE™ brings another: an optional moment of intense, naturally mint-scented freshness.
Neither requires changing what the Finnish sauna fundamentally is.
The choice belongs to the person enjoying the sauna.
Sometimes simplicity means leaving everything as it is. Sometimes it means adding just one small sensation.
